My top tips for starting your journey into mindfulness
Get yourself a ‘Special Journal’. A book that you will want to write in. Ensure you choose the journal for yourself and make it your very own journal for jotting down thoughts. What has happened that is ‘Good’ today. What has happened that you feel is’ negative’ today? Write down your responses to these simple questions in an honest non-judgmental way.
Find yourself that special place where you can reflect, think, be still and meditate. This is YOUR time, YOUR moment.
Find at least five minutes a day to be still. Make it a routine and gradually increase YOUR time.
Connect with nature in some way. Taking a walk, looking out of the window, walking around the garden.
Look with the ‘Beginners Eye’, as if you are seeing things for the first time. Jot down in your journal how you felt about what you noticed.
Simply Being You for however long you can during each day. Give yourself time in an unselfish, non -judgmental and non self-criticising way.
